Wilson Profile SGI Vs Callaway Strata
The Callaway Strata offer more forgiveness and are more durable than the Wilson SGI, but at $100 less the Wilson SGI are certainly worth looking into.
This is because new golfers are more likely to be looking to save as much money as possible, while still playing a high-quality set of clubs.
In terms of performance, the Wilson SGi is better for distance and long game, while the Strata is great all round and especially good for short game control. So if you’re looking for a set that will help you improve your all-around game, the Strata is the way to go. However, if you’re looking to focus on your long game and get more distance, the Wilson SGi is the better option.
The Callaway Strata and Wilson SGi are both great golf club sets, but which one is more durable?
The Strata is slightly more durable than the SGi, but this is to be expected given its higher price point. Either way however, both of these golf club sets will need to be replaced after 2-3 years of heavy use and don’t offer as much in terms of durability as some other more expensive sets on the market.
They are similar in price, but the Strata costs slightly more overall. However as a complete set of golf clubs they both come in much cheaper than many other beginner friendly options on the market.
When you factor in that individual premium golf clubs can cost well over $100 each, the fact that you can get a complete set of golf clubs for under $500 is amazing value for money for a complete set.
Both sets are quite comprehensive and will get you started on the golf course. You will get all of the expected clubs such as driver, 3 wood, irons, wedges and putter.
This means that you have plenty of options when playing golf with these clubs and you won’t have to worry about not finding something that suits your style of play.
The Callaway Strata has more storage pockets than the Wilson SGi, and the quality of the bag is generally better.
If you plan on playing regularly and want something with more dividers for golf bag organization then you may with to choose something more durable and comprehensive such as the Sun Mountain C-130. The bags provided with these sets are not made to be carried around all day so if you plan on playing frequently then it may be a good idea to invest in a better bag later on down the line.
What are the Callaway strata golf clubs?
The Callaway Strata golf clubs are our best beginner set of golf clubs. This is largely because the clubs are designed to provide the maximum amount of forgiveness and help you hit the ball straighter and farther.
Not only that but the set is available as a 12-piece, which is perfect for those who are just starting out and don’t need all the bells and whistles. However, the set is also available as a complete set of 16 clubs, which is great for those who want to have everything they need in a golf bag to get started.
However, like the Wilson SGI clubs they are designed to be beginner friendly and are not the best option for experienced golfers. Leading brands make premium clubs that are more suitable for those players that want the best equipment available. They are also a better fit for those that have mastered the basics.

Rounding Up: Which Complete Set Should You Choose?
We like both of these golf club sets but if it comes down to it we would definitely go with the Callaway Strata. They will last you longer and are a great golf set to grow into before getting a more advanced set such as the Callaway Edge. They may cost slightly more, however it is more than worth it considering the extra durability and improved playability.
The fact that they offer plenty of forgiveness means you will hit more fairways and make fewer mistakes on the course. This can help with increasing confidence and improving your overall ability on the course. However, if price is your number one priority then we definitely would recommend the Wilson SGI.
